As a dominant presence within North America’s Premier Padel League (PPL), the New York Atlantics are truly impossible to ignore, furthering their status as a championship team with every match they play. To little surprise, the Bezel-sponsored team and its owners have nothing short of impeccable taste in watches. With this in mind, we tasked them with creating a curated selection of their favorite watches on Bezel, including picks from Rolex, Cartier, Patek Philippe, and more.

Rolex Datejust 41 “Wimbledon” Ref. 126334-0022

The Datejust is an icon for a reason, and as such, it should always be a staple of any noteworthy collection. Though there’s no shortage of great references and variants to choose from, this particular “Wimbledon” dial-fitted configuration is a favorite of ours, especially considering its New York Atlantics adjacent green accents.

Secured to the wrist by the fan-favorite Jubilee bracelet, it’s quite versatile and can be easily worn with athletic and more formal attire.

Cartier Panthère de Cartier Ref. WGPN0008

Though the famed Maison might’ve been a jeweler first, Cartier ranks highly on the list of our most revered watchmakers without question. Among the team’s owners, the Panthère de Cartier is something of a favorite, both on and off the Padel court.

Its jewelry-like bracelet is truly a work of art, especially when executed in 18k yellow gold for an always welcome, added dash of opulence.

Rolex Submariner Date “Kermit – Flat IV” Ref. 16610LV

Of the many Submariner references in Rolex’s back catalog, the “Kermit” is a bona fide classic that only gets better with age. Given its brilliant, verdant bezel insert, it’s naturally a New York Atlantics favorite.

While the Submariner Date has now seen production in several different green-accented iterations (see: Rolex Submariner Date “Hulk” Ref. 116610LV, Rolex Submariner Date “Starbucks” Ref. 126610LV-0002), the “OG” still gets top marks from us, and its continued popularity is a testament to the lasting power of the design.

Cartier Santos de Cartier XL Chronograph Ref. W2SA0008

The chronograph-equipped Santos de Cartier is undoubtedly a departure from the original Santos design, especially in this extra-large format. Still, we’re awfully fond of this uniquely sporty twist on the historic watch, especially when fitted to one of Cartier’s interchangeable rubber straps.

Rolex Day-Date Ref. 118238

It’s hard to beat a classic Rolex “President” in 18k yellow gold. The newer Day-Date 40 is, by all means, a terrific watch, but we’re partial to the complicated Rolex in its original 36 mm form factor.

If you’re in the market for a lavish icon, this now-discontinued reference is about as good as it gets. The combination of the yellow gold case and bracelet with the factory diamond-set dial is simply too good.

Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 5711/1A-014

We love a watch that can pull double duty, and this configuration of Patek Philippe’s Nautilus does exactly that–in style, no less. With a muted green dial and a stainless steel case and bracelet, this ultra-rare reference is sophisticated enough to turn heads within serious collecting circles but flies under the radar when you want it to.

Wearing a Patek while playing Padel might not be the most advisable decision, but if there’s one with which you could get away with it, this would definitely be it.

Hublot Big Bang Limited Edition “Federacion Mexican de Futbol” Ref. 310.CI.1190.GR.FMF10

Here’s one you don’t see all that often. Hublot manufactured this reference in a limited edition of just 250 pieces a while back. Though it was technically produced for the Mexican Football Federation, its Mexican colors simultaneously exist as an ode to the birthplace of Padel.

Among our favorite details of this piece is its green alligator-inlaid rubber strap, which allows for wear throughout high-intensity activities without compromising the strap’s integrity.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Grande Complication “Pride of Argentina” Ref. 26566BC.OO.D305CR.01

This piece is a heavy hitter if there ever was one. Featuring both a perpetual calendar chronograph and a minute repeater complication, it’s most definitely deserving of “Grande Complication” status, and its distinction as the “Pride of Argentina” makes it all the more special.

There are multiple players on New York Atlantics that could easily be described as the pride of Argentina– Juan Martin Diaz would likely get the nod from us.

Girard-Perregaux Laureato Absolute Chronograph Aston Martin F1 Ref. 81060-41-3071-1CX

Ultra-lightweight and sleek as the day is long, this chronograph from Girard-Perregaux is one of our favorite recent releases from the storied Swiss watchmaker. F1 drivers can often be seen on the Padel court, so we’ve got a soft spot for all things affiliated with the similarly high-speed sport. And of course, we certainly approve of Aston Martin's colors.
