With no shortage of white and black dial-fitted watches of varying shades in today’s market, cycling between different pieces can quickly start to feel a bit repetitive. With this in mind, we like to advise adding a pop of verdant color to your rotation because, after all, life’s too short to collect mundane, run-of-the-mill watches.

If you haven’t already considered adding a watch featuring a vivid green dial to your ever-growing collection, you most definitely should. Should you need a little inspiration, know that we’ve got you covered, as always, with a considered look at a selection of stand-out favorites.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 Ref. 126000-0005

Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 Ref. 126000-0005

With just an hour, minute, and seconds hand tracing its deep green dial, the time-only Oyster Perpetual 36 from Rolex is a case study in sporty simplicity. It’s for this reason that Rolex itself describes this versatile piece as “the essence of the Oyster,” conveying the basics in supreme style.

Offering everything you need and nothing you don’t in a highly durable and hardwearing 904L Oystersteel package, it’s hard to argue with the foundational Rolex sports watch. Its execution in Rolex’s signature color is simply the icing on the cake.

TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre Heuer 02 Ref. CBK221F.FC6479

TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre Heuer 02 Ref. CBK221F.FC6479

Don’t be fooled by the absence of TAG Heuer branding on its winding crown and brilliant, green sunburst dial; this is, in fact, a modern reference from the famed manufacturer of top-quality chronographs. Drawing inspiration from pre-TAG era Carrera’s, this vibrant albeit understated reference is perfectly suited for the more polished collector after something slightly more vivid.

Powered by the self-winding, in-house Calibre HEUER 02 movement, the 39 mm triple-register chronograph boasts an impressive 80-hour power reserve, as well as column wheel construction, putting this green phenom in the same ranks as far more costly watches.

Cartier Santos de Cartier “Medium” Ref. WSSA0061

Cartier Santos de Cartier “Medium” Ref. WSSA0061

Historically, horological offerings from Cartier have been most closely associated with white, Roman numeral-clad dials; however, in recent years, the celebrated Maison has deviated from the norm by producing eye-catching, brightly colored twists on their most sought-after designs. Now offered with blue, green, red, and brown dials, the legendary Santos de Cartier is no exception.

Featuring a sunburst finish for added flair, the green dial-equipped Santos exudes a playful elegance while remaining highly legible through the inclusion of a luminous handset. In this medium-sized form, it’s an equal parts symmetrical and sophisticated work of art for the wrist.

Rolex Submariner Date “Hulk” Ref. 116610LV

Rolex Submariner Date “Hulk” Ref. 116610LV

Although the “Hulk” has already been succeeded by an all-new generation of Submariner Date references, namely the green-accented “Starbucks,” this green-on-green configuration remains one of the most desirable modern references hailing from Rolex’s pioneering dive watch collection.

What’s more, this reference is also credited with ushering in a new class of superhero-aligned Rolex nicknames, along with the blue and black bezel-fitted GMT-Master II Batman,” paving the way for its Jubilee bracelet-fitted successor, now referred to as the “Batgirl.” If you’re a fan of all things green, it’s hard to go wrong with a Hulk.

Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro Esteel “Verde Smeraldo” Ref. PAM01287

Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro Esteel “Verde Smeraldo” Ref. PAM01287

Collectors after bold and brawny designs are often quick to flock to the Panerai catalog, and for very good reason. With a rich history of producing purpose-built timepieces for Italian military divers, the brand’s offerings truly have more than just a pretty face, notably featuring admirable water resistance ratings and tough-as-nails construction.

This “Verde Smeraldo” variant of the Submersible QuarantaQuattro is no exception, capable of descending to 300-meter depths with ease and grace. As its name would suggest, the tool watch measures 44 mm across and is notably executed in “eSteel”–Panerai’s sustainably recycled stainless steel alloy.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph Ref. 26240ST.OO.1320ST.08

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph Ref. 26240ST.OO.1320ST.08

Since its introduction in 1972, Gérald Genta’s Royal Oak design has been widely lauded as one of the all-time greats. Helping Audemars Piguet reach new heights as a brand while pioneering the sports luxury horological subcategory in its entirety, it’s hard to deny its importance.

The game would later be changed once again in 1997, when AP introduced the first chronograph in the Royal Oak collection, elevating the already iconic watch to heightened horological territory by way of an added complication. Introduced in 2022, this khaki green reference builds upon the ROC framework in a most striking manner.

Patek Philippe Annual Calendar Flyback Chronograph Ref. 5905/1A-001

Patek Philippe Annual Calendar Flyback Chronograph Ref. 5905/1A-001

Stainless steel references from Patek Philippe are few and far between, somewhat ironically representing perhaps the most exclusive case metal class in the Holy Trinity watchmaker’s repertoire. Factor in a green dial and an annual calendar flyback chronograph complication, and you’ve got a true grail among grails for Patek collectors.

Being a stainless steel watch, this is one of the very few highly complicated Patek Philippes that can be worn without worry on an everyday basis. Whether you choose to wear it on its matching steel bracelet or swap it out for a matching green strap, you simply can’t go wrong with this one.

Rolex Cosmograph Daytona “John Mayer” Ref. 116508-0013

Rolex Cosmograph Daytona “John Mayer” Ref. 116508-0013

Nicknamed for the multi-hyphenate musician and watch collecting icon after his vocal praise for this specific configuration, Rolex’s Daytona is nothing short of epic in solid 18k yellow gold.

Featuring a green dial that shifts with the light, appearing darker and lighter at different angles, this Daytona’s dial shines in Rolex’s signature color.
