Omega Speedmaster Professional “Moonwatch” Ref. 310.30.42.50.01.001

For under $5k, it's hard to argue with the Speedmaster "Moonwatch." Enjoying a rich history as the first watch worn on the moon and one of the most sophisticated movements in its price point–Omega’s hand-wound Caliber 3861–this iconic black dial chronograph exists within a league of its own. It’s for this reason that most seasoned collectors regard the Speedmaster Professional as one of the best values in all of watch collecting.

This latest generation Speedy is particularly sought after because of its attractively stepped dial, updated stainless steel bracelet, and vintage-inspired bezel insert featuring the coveted “dot over 90.”

IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph “Le Petit Prince” Ref. IW3777-17

Emblematic of the horological sub-category it pioneered and of IWC's commitment to highly durable and functional designs, this limited edition Pilot’s Watch Chronograph watch shines with a blue sunburst dial. For both added aesthetic intrigue and increased legibility, this reference also features a vibrant red seconds hand, tracing the sub-dial found at the nine o’clock position.

Like other great IWC pilot’s watches before it, the reference IW3777-17 is secured to the wrist with a multi-piece link, stainless steel bracelet of the highest quality, elevating the appearance of the watch into slightly dressier territory than other sports-focused chronographs in its class.

Tudor Black Bay Chrono Ref. M79360N-0002

Since Tudor’s 2013 return to the North American market, the Rolex sister brand has treated the watch-collecting world to no shortage of beautifully executed, heritage-inspired designs, each crafted with a keen, quintessentially Swiss attention to detail. Of no exception is the Black Bay Chrono, incorporating chronograph functionality into the now widely celebrated framework of the watchmaker’s fan favorite Black Bay.

With a white “panda" dial, and a “snowflake” handset reminiscent of those found on Tudor references of the 1970s, the Black Bay Chrono offers a taste of early Rolex and Tudor in modern form with top-grade construction. Factor in its COSC-certified, manufacture Calibre MT5813 movement, and you’ve got an everyday chronograph that can’t be beat.

Breitling Superocean Heritage II Chronograph Ref. A13313161C1A1

Measuring 44 mm across and fitted with a traditional Milanese-style bracelet, Breitling's Superocean Heritage II pays homage to the earliest references in the watchmaker's famed Superocean collection while benefitting from modern construction and reliability. What’s more, this traditionally-styled Breitling is capable of descending 200 meters below the water’s surface, living up to its name and then some.

Doubling down on the aquatic theme, this particular Superocean reference is distinguished by its blue sunburst-finished dial–playfully catching the light in all the right ways, and appearing differently colored depending on lighting conditions.

Bell & Ross BR05 Chronograph Ref. BR05-GN-ST/SRB

Deviating from the watchmaker’s typical aesthetic while still nodding to their affinity for square-cased timepieces, the BR05 charts the path toward an exciting future for Bell & Ross. Fitted with a green sunburst dial and secured to the wrist with a matching green rubber bracelet, this verdant variant of B&R's newest silhouette delights in this dual-register, date-equipped configuration.
