Authentication Policy
Our goal is to be the most trusted marketplace for luxury watches, and this Authentication Policy describes the steps we take to ensure watches purchased on our marketplace are authentic. We will not support the buying or selling of watches that are replicas, contain inauthentic or non-factory parts, or do not meet our standards of sale. We take fraud extremely seriously.
This Authentication Policy is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.
Verification Process
We verify watches sold through Bezel by means such as machine learning technology, digital authentication, in-hand verification, or a combination of the same. To support our verification process, we log thousands of data points on our products to help ensure their authenticity. Our team of authentication specialists are highly trained to identify any indication that a watch may not be authentic. They inspect details from movement to dial, case, bracelet/strap, and so much more. By doing so, we seek to ensure the product you purchase is both authentic and as described.
Guarantee
Bezel guarantees our verification process. While watches are sold “as is,” we guarantee that the watch you purchased matches what was described in the listing. If there is any discrepancy, we will contact you to determine a solution. A refund may be necessary. . If a watch is altered in any way, shape or form after the watch is received by the buyer, this guarantee is no longer valid.
Customer Support for Authenticity
If we find your watch to be inauthentic or not as described during our authentication inspection, we will not ship it to you and will offer you a full refund.
If you receive your watch and believe it is not as described, contact us within 2 days and tell us the issue so we can assist in resolving it. This can be completed by emailing help@getbezel.com or through the Bezel app on your order page. If we agree with your claim, you will receive a full refund. Please review our Buyer Protection Policy to learn more.
A Note About Standard Maintenance
Watches are objects of daily use which are subject to wear and tear. It is therefore self-evident that watches require maintenance. A watch which was sent for revision still is an original, authentic watch, even if components have been exchanged. The elements affected by such exchange or replacement often are: the crystal, movement parts, bracelets, dials, housing sealing, screws or sets of hands. Even for proven experts it is often impossible to trace all repairs (e.g. each exchanged component and its originality or the use of an identical component from another manufacturer, such as screws) in a watch. The exchange or replacement of elements does not impair the originality of the purchased object. Watches that have been maintained as described in this section will not violate this Authentication Policy.
